GSCET College Library Resources, Journals & Digital Access

On all working days, the library is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Within the library, photocopying is available. Donations of books, journals, and other information resources that the staff and students find helpful may be accepted by the library. Donated materials will become the library’s sole property and bear the donor’s name and address. Any loss of a library book or membership card must be reported in writing to the librarian right away. Students and other external users are permitted to use the college library as long as they follow the rules.

There are currently 7110 books in the Central Library’s collection, including reference and textbook books. For the advantage of research scholars, the Central Library maintains a substantial collection of back volumes of journals, theses, and dissertations. Students and faculty members can utilize the many question papers from past exams of various courses that are stored as references at the Central Library.

More than ten publications and magazines are subscribed to in order to support the academic programs and the user’s need for up-to-date information. To be aware of the daily information There are four daily newspapers that people subscribe to in various languages.

The Central Library uses conventional digital software and is computerized. There is barcode technology. The library’s resources can be searched via the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). Since the library is a member of INFLIBNET and DELNET, it has access to e-information resources such as CDs and online journals.

The reading hall has a dedicated area for books used for competitive exams. The reference hall’s books are utilized for internal reading. The reading area is also used for general reading and houses the top magazines for competitive tests.

Outside students, research scholars, and faculty from other institutions frequently visit our library because it is one of the oldest and has a significant collection of books. The library’s resources are also available to former students and retired employees. By paying a small fee, any member of the public who has been acknowledged as a guarantor by a staff member is permitted to use the library.

Students who sign up for the Library Assistance Program can make the most of their free time. Every student is expected to work a specific amount of hours each week. Through the Library Assistance Program, students can receive additional credit.
